There are many things which includes the cost of college education and tuition is only part of the big picture of getting into college. Other costs include daily food, transportation, lodging, pocket money, and other miscellaneous costs which, once added can create an important part of financing college education.

Federal grants for education (FSEOG) – this is an ongoing programme for undergraduates to the outstanding monetary need. However, all students can benefit from this type of grant. This will depend on the eligibility of the availability of students and the school’s finances.
Another form of financial aid that students and families can turn to is through loans. This type of financial assistance should be refunded. The financial need of the family must be scrutinized to avoid paying high interest rates.
It is also a must to understand all the terms of lending agencies such as the repayment schedule and interest rates, before signing or making a commitment.
Work study is a form of financial assistance for students called to work to provide for their college education. Work study is done on campus and is the most typical form of financial aid at all universities and colleges. Usually, the students provide services to the school for ten to fifteen hours per week.
Scholarships, fellowships and other forms of financial assistance to acquire college education is really multifaceted, and sometimes confusing, even exasperating. The good thing is the college is a non-refundable and non-biodegradable type of investment. For the future!
